\u201cWhat do you mean, suspicious?\u201d asked Molly with a worried tone. She stood\nup to join Sam at the window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t you see those cars over there in the shadow area of the street\nlight?\u201d said Sam, adjusting the pistol in the holster hanging inside his jacket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI see some black cars,\u201d said Molly, \u201cbut what\u2019s so suspicious about\nthem?\u201d Molly wasn\u2019t gifted with a great\ndeal of imagination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe way they\u2019re parked, of course,\u201d snarled Sam, peering more closely\nwith his nose touching the window pane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI just see nine black cars parked side by side in a zone with white\nstripe marks in the street for 14 cars,\u201d said Molly, \u201cand what\u2019s so suspicious\nabout that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo why are they all parked together with the other five spaces empty,\neh?\u201d said Sam, \u201cI tell you, Molly, something funny\u2019s going on.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sam pulled out his gun and left the office to go investigate, and Molly\nsat down, blonde curls dangling over her bewildered face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
